Always on the search for an inspiring story, Maria Belova McKean is a freelance filmmaker with rich experience in the industry. Born in Moscow, she started working in TV and movie production in her early 20s in many roles — from sound recording and engineering to video production. A big supporter of self-education, Maria moved to the United States in 2014 and is a homeschooling mother of two. She is part of a rich homeschooling community in Connecticut that supports "nature schooling" and is connected to several educational facilities that provide kids with exposure to nature. She firmly believes that the key to future generations growing up conservationist-minded is early exposure to all things nature. Removing the fear of wild creatures and replacing it with respect and consideration for wildlife and its habitats could help create a generation that will help bring our planet back to its natural state and develop new ways of coexisting within earth's ecosystem instead of against it.
