Clare Galloway

Story Gatherer Namibia, Writer

Clare Galloway lives in the capital city of Windhoek and on a game farm outside Okahandja in Namibia. She studied geology at the University in Witwatersrand, graduating in 1979. In 1980, she became a resident of Namibia and worked in exploration and mining in northern Namibia. She was also publishing editor for the Geological Survey of Namibia. That work led to her becoming a broadcaster and TV anchor for SWABC/NBC (National Broadcasting Corporation). She then became the publishing manager for an educational publishing house. Galloway is now a freelance visual artist, writer, publisher and editor, and is involved in a supportive role in a local youth education program. Galloway has had three exhibitions of her art in Namibia and her work can be found in private collections in Namibia, South Africa, Australia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
