Altaire is a recent graduate from the University of Virginia in the subjects of Anthropology and Global Sustainability. She went on to become a student at the Institute of Development Studies in England, where she is now earning her MSc in Climate Change and Development. She strongly believes that global warming is as much a social justice movement as a scientific one, and she is concerned with the implications for a world that does not safeguard cultural plurality or the environment. Her current project "Interwoven" is a creative study about the interconnectedness of life on earth through the lens of globalization in Indonesia. Her interests include climate change adaptation in the developing world, indigenous rights.
