Millie is studying toward an MSci in biology at the University of Bristol. Growing up in London, she became aware of the enormous disconnection people have from nature and grew passionate about promoting environmental education and addressing nature deprivation in modern society. She has designed and organized conservation outreach programs for the public and is keen to inspire others to take action to preserve the world’s biodiversity. Millie developed a particular interest in ocean conservation after a marine biology research expedition in Cuba. For her final-year dissertation project, she is exploring the factors influencing the use of sustainable fishing methods within UK fisheries.
