Bala is a seasoned development professional with more than 11 years of experience in international development. He cut his teeth in development while serving as a volunteer and an intern with rural based non-governmental organizations in Nigeria. Bala has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Development studies from Igbinedion University in Okada, Nigeria and is currently pursuing an MBA from the Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom. As a technology professional, he designed and established a sustainable livelihoods program that is responsible for providing environmentally sustainable information and communication technology (ICT) education and Internet access to at least 5,300 people annually. He lives in Nigeria with his family and dabbles in renewable energy and ICT projects and DJing at local parties.
