Barri W. Sanders is retired from a 25-year career in Student Affairs at University of Maryland. She concurrently worked in citizen diplomacy conflict resolution through CIDCM (Center for International Development and Conflict Management), primarily in the Caucasus region. She founded and taught in the Peace Studies program at University of New Mexico-Taos, which became a major course of study at UNM. She and her husband Roger live in urban San Diego.
