After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from Virginia Tech, Erika acquired her master’s degree in Environmental Management from Duke University. Erika currently works for The Kitchen Community, a national nonprofit that works to bring school gardens to schools all over the city. Her work as a Garden Educator through the regional office in Memphis, Tennessee, includes teaching about planting, growing, harvesting, and eating freshly grown fruits and vegetables through events for students, professional development workshops and on-the-ground training for teachers.
