Helen is an anthropologist with a PhD from Cambridge University. She is currently employed at the University of Applied Science in The Hague, The Netherlands, where she coordinates a minor program, Sustainable Business, and conducts research in environmental education. Her books and articles include: East to West Migration (2005); Crossing European Boundaries:Beyond Conventional Geographical Categories (2006); Migration and Tourism: Formation of New Social Classes (2007); and Health and Environment: Social Science Perspectives (2010). The most recent book, Environmental Anthropology Today, was published by Routledge in August 2011.
