Kathryn received her bachelor’s degree in Horticulture with an emphasis in Landscape Design from Utah State University. Upon completion, she owned a residential landscape design business, which specialized in waterwise designs. Most recently, she received her master’s degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Sustainable Development and Policy from the University of Illinois-Springfield. She has had the opportunity to do policy work for the Sierra Club in Eastern Idaho, representing Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks. She also has given numerous awareness and educational seminars and has organized community events centered on sustainable living. Her primary interests are in the areas of community sustainability efforts, urban revitalization, greenspace creation, and sustainable living. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, cooking, and spending time with her family.
