Kira is a conservation biologist and anthropologist with a deep interest in how human populations influence culture and biodiversity. Kira obtained her master’s degree in conservation biology from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England, and her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Kira’s interests and specialties include human population studies, agroecology (which she studied in Belize), bio-cultural diversity, Indigenous and Community Conserved Areas, environmental ethics, photography and writing.
