Morgan's interest in horticulture began with her love for the outdoors and passion for the mountains. Upon graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, she moved to Colorado where she taught ski school in winter and worked outside in summer. She immersed herself in the world of plants through farming and landscaping. From these experiences she developed a strong environmental ethos, believing that the health of the planet is intimately connected to the health of the individual. From raising goats and chickens, to cultivating crops and compost, Morgan has built a relationship with the land and believes in honoring nature’s rhythms of balance and beauty. Her land stewardship ultimately led her to purchase and run a landscape business, Stone Fruit Garden, in Taos, New Mexico. She loves getting dirty, learning new things, and challenging herself mentally and physically.
