Paul Relis is senior vice president of CR&R Incorporated, an environmental services company that provides recycling and waste services to local governments in Southern California. He has led the company’s efforts to develop technology to convert organic materials from solid waste into renewable natural gas, zero carbon fuel, and soil products for California agriculture. Prior to this position, Paul served as an executive in the California Environmental Protection Agency as the governor’s environmental appointee to the California Integrated Waste Management Board (now CalRecycle). He is also a Lecturer in the Environmental Studies Department at the University of California, where he has taught since 1996.
