Both an optioned and paid screenwriter, Sheil Seclearr (she/they) has many production credits, including Co-Producer for Return to Rainy Mountain (PBS, 2017) and Associate Producer for 99%: The Occupy Wall Street Story (2013) and Rumi Returning (PBS, 2007). Sheil assisted Jill Momaday for PBS American Masters’ N. Scott Momaday: Words from a Bear (PBS 2019) and has expertise in online community building, social media and impact production.
After adapting or rewriting other people’s stories for feature films, Sheil’s first original tale is finally headed to the screen, with The Water Clock. Like its hero, Sheil was born Intersex and “assigned female at birth.” It’s a unique twist to have a gender fluid hero in a story about water.
