Writer

Skyler grew up and resides in the green mountains of Vermont. While at the University of Vermont, he studied a range of subjects including sociology, anthropology, history, politics, environmental studies, economics and then finally narrowed his focus to “Ecological Economics.” His interest lies in understanding human behavior and human relation to the environment as well as tracing the societal mythos of policies and systems of governance. He is passionate about finding ways to communicate. For example, last summer he lived in an Indigenous village in Mexico, creating a short video about the cultural and economic impacts of the forces of “development” on the village. During the cold Vermont winters, Skyler loves to hike and he also coaches free-ride skiing at the infamous, cooperatively owned, low snowmaking, single-chaired, rough and rugged mountain whose motto is “Mad River Glen, ski it if you can.”
