Terence Hyland has been a journalist for more than 10 years, focusing on legal and legislative developments that affect the environment and health care policy. He has a BS in evolutionary biology from the University of Kansas. While at school, he helped with research at the Kansas City Zoo, studying how antelope, zebras and other African plains animals reacted when new animals were introduced to the zoo population. He hopes to find compelling stories that highlight the importance of biodiversity and its impact on our everyday lives.
